Sign up for text message notifications for Libraries checkouts

The Libraries is making technology and textbook lending more convenient for students, faculty, and staff with a new text message notification service. Sign up now to receive “due soon” and overdue notifications via text. Since items such as laptops, power cords, and cameras have limited borrowing times, the service helps you easily keep track of what you have checked out and when it’s due back.

To sign up, visit your library account and click the “Edit SMS Reminder Settings” button. You can also ask a staff member in person at the Ask Us desk.

“The text message reminders are something students have been asking for, and we’re really excited to launch the service,” says Mia Partlow, Resource Sharing Librarian. “Everyone is so busy, and we hope it makes their day go just a little more smoothly to get these reminders about when their library tech or textbooks are due.”

This service does not include notifications about other checkout materials such as books, room reservations, or event/workshop registrations.
